Janet Mitchell
Janet has become well known for painting wildlife in various landscapes. Her inspiration comes from the countryside surrounding her home. Yearly visits to Africa also provide a wealth of subjects. Janet paints in acrylics, using her paint partly in oil techniques and partly watercolour, building the pictures with layers of glazes, which brings the subjects alive. She is a member of a number of Art Societies. She has also written articles for the Leisure Painter and also featured on BBC Television for the artist of the year.
